StormPit® Bubble Up

Understanding the StormPit Bubble Up Function

The StormPit Bubble Up is a key component in many stormwater systems across New Zealand. Its primary role is to provide an overflow point, allowing water to rise and discharge safely at ground level when underground pipes reach capacity. This helps prevent water from backing up into properties and reduces the risk of flooding during heavy rain events.

How StormPit® Bubble Ups Work

When a StormPit Bubble Up is clear and functioning properly, excess water escapes through the grate, protecting your site and infrastructure. However, if the device becomes blocked by sediment, litter, or vegetation, water cannot discharge as intended—leading to flooding and potential property damage.

Why Maintenance Matters

Routine maintenance is essential to keep StormPit Bubble Ups operating efficiently. Blockages can develop over time due to sediment and debris, so regular checks help prevent flooding and ensure your stormwater system remains compliant and effective.

At Dutton Stormwater, we provide professional StormPit Bubble Up routine maintenance services nationwide to keep your stormwater system efficient, compliant, and environmentally responsible.
