Our PRocess
How Aquafix® Work
The Hynds AquaFix® is designed for sites that require the separation, discharge, or containment of stormwater and trade waste. It removes hydrocarbons from stormwater using coalescing media and automatically shuts off the outlet during a major spill, preventing contaminants from entering the environment.
Why Maintenance Matters
Regular maintenance is essential to ensure the AquaFix® can respond effectively when a spill occurs. Accumulated sediment, debris, and hydrocarbons can reduce storage capacity, interfere with the operation of the shut-off valve, and compromise the performance of the coalescing media. Routine servicing ensures the system remains ready to contain accidental spills and continues to protect downstream waterways and infrastructure.
Professional Aquafix® Maintenance Services
Dutton's specialist maintenance crews provide comprehensive servicing, including hydrocarbon and sediment removal, cleaning of internal chambers, inspection and testing of the shut-off mechanism, assessment of coalescing media condition, structural inspections, and detailed service reporting. Our specialised vacuum ensures contaminants are safely removed and disposed of in accordance with environmental regulations.
Recommended Service Frequency
Aquafix® typically require maintenance every six to twelve months, depending on site activity and risk exposure along with pollutant loading. During each service, we assess the condition and includes a job summary with any recommendations in your service report.
