Our PRocess
How Envirovalve Work
The EnviroValve is designed for sites that require separation, discharge or containment of stormwater and trade waste. The Hynds EnviroValve is an automated water diversion system designed for wash-down areas where stormwater and trade waste flows need to be managed separately. Using a weather sensor, flow switch, hydraulic ram, and control panel, the system automatically directs wash-down water to the sewer network while allowing clean stormwater to discharge to the stormwater system after a predetermined rainfall threshold has been reached.
Why Maintenance Matters
The Hynds EnviroValve® relies on multiple mechanical and electronic components working together to correctly divert flows between the stormwater and trade waste networks. Regular maintenance helps ensure the componentry continues to operate as designed. Routine cleaning of the leaf trap, sump, and diversion chamber also prevents blockages, minimises the risk of faults, and helps maintain compliance with site discharge requirements.
Professional Envirovalve Maintenance Services
Dutton provides comprehensive EnviroValve maintenance services, including cleaning of the leaf trap, sump and diversion chamber. We use specialist technicians to inspect and test the flow switch, weather sensor, hydraulic ram, control panel, and associated controls to verify the system is operating correctly and diverting flows as intended. Detailed reporting provides asset owners with confidence that their diversion system remains compliant and ready for operation.
Recommended Service Frequency
EnviroValve systems should typically be inspected and serviced every six months. Sites with frequent wash-down activities, high sediment loads, or critical compliance requirements may benefit from more frequent inspections and cleaning.
